2011 Road Race Update

Titans Make Splash on Road Race Scene

A number of West Salem HS runners, both current, alumni and XC parent(s), hit the road to participate in multiple road races over the summer posting both recreational times and competitive times. Here is an update.

Beyond Borders 5k
(Left) Titans Trent Dudley, Matt Thomas & David Clark start the Beyond Borders 5k which was hosted by West Salem Community Church and former Titan runner Rachel Elmer on July 18, 2011. Other West XC participants include Tiffany Dihn.


Summer Solstice 5k
Matt Thomas (17:29), David Clark (17:30) & Sean Barr (17:47) finished 2-4 overall in the Summer Solstice 5k on July 24th. Titan XC parent Jonathan Clark competed in the 5k as well. Titan alumni Janelle Reeves (53:08) finished 5th overall in the Women's 10k

2011 Walk or Run for the Arts
Alumni Trent Dudley (17:53) & Titan Emanuel Kraynick (18:13) placed in the top 10 of the Salem Art Association Run for the Arts on July 16th. Titan XC parent Bruce Dudley also competed in the 5k.
